Water Augmentation Plan

All but 50 Lots* on the Zapata Subdivision are covered under the court-approved Water Augmentation Plan 80CW132, which committs certain surface water rights on South Zapata Creek to be used to offset the consumptive use of wells expected to be drilled on the Zapata. As the subdivision grows and the number of wells increase, this plan provides for a formula and method for decreasing the amount of irrigation water consumed, and increasing the amount of water put back into the ground. In short, the Augmentation Plan assures that there will be water available for the future growth and development of the Zapata Subdivision well into the future. *The remaining 50 Lots are covered under the original Water Augmentation Plan, W-3345.
