Subject: Public Scoping for Zapata Campground Construction Project

The Bureau of Land Management's San Luis Resource Area is inviting public comments on the Zapata Campground Construction Project. The proposed campground would contain 24 single camping units, one group site and one host site. The proposed campground would be primitive with picnic tables, fire rings, bear proof food storage containers and two vault toilets. Water and electricity would not be available. A trail and trailhead would bbe constructed from the campground to the vicinity of Zapata Falls. The project is located on public lands administered by the Bureau of Land Management located south west of Zapata Falls day use area.
Those wishing to comment on the project are encouraged to submit their concerns in writing to:
