Proposed Change to Bylaws

July 4, 2010 – Governance, Announcements

The board is working on final language to a proposal to change the voting section of the bylaws. By law, there are certain votes that require a greater than 50% majority to pass. The best rate of participation we have ever had is about 34%. The intent of the proposed change is to encourage more members to participate in a vote, and to have a way to count votes of non participants. In short, if you don't act for yourself, a group will act for you.

This change would need to be made by a vote of a quorum at the annual meeting. The final proposal will be mailed to you in your annual meeting membership packet
