We have been informed by the State Forester that because of State Budget cut-backs no state mitigation grants will be funded this year.
For Individual Property Owners that might want to create Defensible Space or otherwise Fire Mitigate their property and submit a grant request. The local District State Forester needs to receive grant proposals in his office no later than 5 pm August 13th, 2010. Please call if you have any questions. Once you have completed the grant, YOU MUST SUBMIT THEM DIRECTLY TO YOUR LOCAL DISTRICT FORESTER.
