Zapata HOA neighbors had a field day cleaning up a two mile long stretch of Highway 150 near the Zapata entrance the morning of Oct 1.
Organizer Suzanne DeVore orchestrated the event which attracted more than a dozen community residents who bagged up items lost along the roadway between mile markers 11 and 13.
The prize find was a wallet containing money and ID from a Denver resident as well as the usual recyclables, tire remnants and assorted paper products. An effort will be made to return the wallet which may have been lost for several years.
